This week, you’re hearing our recent interview with journalist, author and comic creator Spencer Ackerman about his 2021 book, Reign Of Terror: How The 9/11 Era Destabilized America and Produced Trump . This felt like a fitting chat to record as we approach the 25th anniversary of that event in the dystopian second administration of that reality tv boss Donny J Trump. In the chat we cover some of the topics in the book, like the legalistic and lingustic wrangling of subsequent administrations to expand US exceptionalism to international standards of war and human rights around captured prisoners, expansions of domestic spying and generally how the state of emergency created in 2001 has been used by Democrats and Republicans since to lay the ground work for the naked imperialism abroad and racially eliminationist policies in the US.
I definitely suggest you check out Forever-Wars.com for more of his journalism and find announcements there for the pre-order of his comic book No One Escapes the Dialectic coming out in November and the upcoming pre-order for his book The Disappeared: A Father, A Son and the War On Terror, scheduled to come out in March of 2027.
This week, we’re sharing a conversation with two anti-repression organizers in the UK who are both associated with NetPol, or the Network for Police Monitoring as well as other defendant support projects. For the chat we speak about the sort of work their orgs are involved in, changes in sentencing amongst protestors, increasingly violent police suppression of antifascists counter-demonstrating (and greatly outnumbering) anti-immigrant crowds, the Filton Palestine Action cases and more. We hope you enjoy and you can find some links in the show notes on where to find more of Maya and Andy’s work.
We recorded this interview several weeks ago, before Palestine Action was proscribed by the US as a Specially Designated Terrorist Entity and has had sanctions applied to it by the US State Department, so it’s notable that we can legally not suggest anyone offer material support to Palestine Action thanks to the Anti-Antifascist US government as they could be punished under US law.

In this mid-week special, you may have noticed a change in our introduction, that we’re listing TFSR.Media as our website (a work in progress, currently pointed at our blog, soon to be pointed at our new web host). This is because we’re moving our website from NoBlogs.org following the August 26, 2026 announcements by the US State Department and Department of Treasury that designated the hosts of NoBlogs, the Italian autonomous tech collective Autistici / Inventati as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist and placed it on the Specially Designated Nationals list under Executive Order 13224. In this conversation you’ll hear a member of the crimethinc ex-workers collective and Sprout from Sabot Media talk about the designation, the intended impacts on anarchist, antifascist and other movements by the US government, and what can come next if we’re up for the fight.
Update: Via their updates page, KeepItAlive.AI, September 6th Autistici/Inventati announced that it would be shutting down. This development saddens us but we can’t fault them after a quarter of a century of amazing work. and it works to underline the critical need for infrastructure for movements for liberation that is somehow defensible from capitalist and authoritarian states, where we can communicate among our movements, across their borders. As they say, Stay Human.
I invite listeners to check out the statement from CrimethInc as well as the public letter still awaiting more signatures and articles available on the subject from sabot.media. There’s also a recent chat by Outlaw podcast with Shayana Kadidal of the Center for Constitutional Rights on the legal elements of this chat, alongside a list of rad servers from Riseup that could be helpful for people looking for new web hosting homes for their projects.
This week, we’re sharing an interview with Chris Mathias, author of To Catch A Fascist: The Fight to Expose the Radical Right, a book about militant antifascists and researchers in the so-called USA with a particular insight into Vincent, an anarchist who infiltrated Patriot Front and helped facilitate the sabotage event some know as Patriot Fail in December of 2021, after six months undercover as a member and official photographer for the group and leaking chats and pics who, with the help of other researchers and Unicorn Riot, led to the doxing of over 80 PF chuds.
For the chat we talk about the construct of Antifa, antifascist research, adaptations among fascists and thus how antifascists do work, and other topics.
First up, you’ll hear Jeremy and Sea speak about the upcoming G20 Financial Track gathering of Finance Ministers and Central Bankers happening in Asheville at the end of August this year. In this audio, members of Crna Luknja from Ljubljana, Slovenia, speak with participants in the autonomous, squatted neighborhood of Athens, Prosfygika, a name which translates to Refugee. The audio was recorded on May 28th , so likely the situation has shifted and you can find more information and updates at SaveProsfygika.GR/index.php/en/ for English. According to a statement from June 24th found on that website, the hunger strikes of Aristotelis Chantzis and Suzon Doppagne were suspended following municipal statements in line with movement demands. Check the Materials page for statements, photos, audios and documentaries from and about the community.

This week, you’ll hear a discussion with Ed from Southerners Against Surveillance Systems and Infrastructure / DeFlock, Ben of Communities Against Mass Surveillance in Asheville and Kelly from Nashville Community Safety Network others who share more about their local organizing to counter the nationwide push for interconnected surveillance networks. The push for increasingly more data on the public and the funneling of that information into police fusion centers has been most visible recently in struggles against Flock. We speak about spy cameras, the connections between private companies and the state surveillance apparatus, local organizing tactics and more.
Supporters of anarchist Gianis Michailidis (imprisoned by the Greek state) took solidarity actions to escalate knowledge of his hunger and thirst strike demanding his release after completing his sentence. These supporters have an appeal coming to Lamia Court of Appeals, September 29, 2026, against rulings by conservative judges threatening 30 months of prison and thousands of Euros each in damages. The Ulm 5 Case in Germany
[00:50:00]
After this, you’ll hear a recording from May 14th, 2026 of journalist Roser Garí Pérez speaking in Freiberg, Germany, about the the case of the Ulm 5: five activists from various countries held in pre-trial detention since September of 2025 in Germany on charges of taking action against an Elbit Systems Deutschland factory in that country. Elbit Systems is an Israeli arms manufacturer whose products bring death to people in Palestine. The defendants have experienced long term isolation, extraordinarily long pre-trial detention without the option of bail. This segment appears in episode 104 of B(A)D News from the A-Radio Network, and was submitted and recorded by Radio Ausbruch from Freiberg
As a note for US listeners, the use of the term protocol in this segment can be translated to mean taken notes. Support Request by 2020 Uprising Prisoner Khalif Miller
We received correspondence from Khalif Miller who was arrested in Philadelphia. Acording to his GoFundMe, “Khalif was held on pre-trial detention for 2 years and eventually sentenced to 5 years in Federal prison. As he was on probation at the time of his indictment he was additionally given a 1-10 year state sentence for probation violation.” According to his page on UprisingSupport.org, Khalif had this to say:
“I was working, I was trying to get my business up and running, I was going to school. I was doing things not just to help my family, I was trying to help communities. The day that I went to the protest… the night before when I was even making my signs. I spent 4 hours just making signs and writing down a bunch of people who were unfairly killed by police officers. This is something I really feel passionate about.
People say all the time, you can do anything you want in America. You can be whatever you want to be. Growing up, I heard it but I never really believed it because I felt like my resources were limited. The world has so many possibilities. I would like to teach that. That’s one of the things I would like to be able to pass along to the younger generations when I come home.”
Check the show notes for links to how you can write to Khalif and how you can offer him support during this long period of repression.
